The Memorial Roughriders have had one heck of a season, and Buds Chevrolet Buick has been proud to cheer them along the way. The season started with a 35 to 7 win against Sydney, and the Roughriders have continued to dominate ever since.
Over the course of the season, the Roughriders have had wins with the following final scores: 49 to 6 (against Ottawa Glandorf), 38 to 6 (against Van Wert), 27 to 26 (against Shawnee), 70 to 29 (against Kenton), 63 to 13 (against Elida), 60 to 14 (against Bath), 42 to 0 (against Celina), 42 to 0 (against Defiance) 48 to 13 (against Orange), 55 to 20 (against Van Wert), 38 to 7 (against Clear Fork), and 35 to 14 (against Wyoming). The team’s only loss was to Wapakoneta, and that was a close game with a final score of 26 to 24.
The game against Orange was especially important to Memorial High School. It marked the last time a team would play at the Skip Baughman Stadium, which has been used now for 81 years. Next season, the team will start playing at the Roughrider Athletic Complex, which is being built next to the school.
Buds Chevrolet was proud to generate excitement for the team with our “Guess the Score” contest, which gave away $25 gift cards to anyone who guessed the closet final score.
Rooting for the Roughriders is just another way we here at Buds Chevrolet are able to support our surrounding community.
